The PTA is committed to making our children's experience at Washington meaningful and to supporting and celebrating our staff and teachers. Please join us by volunteering, donating, and attending PTA meetings!

STEMfest

 
 
Calling All Scientists and Science Lovers!

Washington Elementary will be hosting STEMfest on March 18th from 6pm-7:30pm at the WES MPR. 

 

This event will give the students an opportunity to experience the joys of building and experimenting firsthand. Attendees will also see amazing classroom STEM projects. 

 

Is your child interested in presenting an experiment or science build? Are you a parent who has a career in STEM? 


Learn all about STEMfest on our website, access resources for your own project ideas, and sign up to volunteer. 

 

Variety Show Shindig: April 11th

Please note the NEW DATE for our Variety Show, April 11th (Saturday). It will be held in our school MPR room.

 

We need volunteers! PLEASE SIGN UP HERE

We will have a parent-led Variety Show Committee, and each grade level needs parent volunteers to help lead their grade’s group act. If no one signs up to lead a grade, that grade will not be able to perform, so we strongly encourage parents to volunteer—this is something the kids truly love!

 

Grade Level Acts

Please be sure to sign your child up on their grade-level page and include all required information, confirming they can attend the show and most rehearsals. Children may participate in one individual act in addition to their grade-level performance. 

 

Individual Acts

If your child would like to do an individual act, we will have two official run throughs: March 4th & April 8th both 3pm-6pm. Please make sure all individual acts are practicing elsewhere since that will not happen on site other than the rehearsals.

 

Format of the Variety Show will be a little different this year, we will split the younger & older grades to be able to accomodate everyone in our MPR.

Younger Grades will perform 3-4:15pm

Older Grades will perform 4:45 - 6pm

 2025/26 PTA Meetings

  

All meetings are held in the WES Library from 7pm - 8:30pm.

 

Refreshments served.

WES alumni provide babysitting in the Maker's Space during the meeting. 

 

 

Nov. 19th - You Set the PTA Agenda - Strategies for getting your child to chat about their day with Mr. Dago. Fall craft night for the kids! 

 

Jan. 21st - BIS Principal Mr. Greg Land 

 

March 25th - "Smartphones and Social Media for your Child: Do's and Don'ts" with Guest Speaker, Sebastian Steinback

 

May 20th - Avoiding the Summer Slump!
